"200 Cigarettes"

Dear Smokers-of-the-rude-variety,

Just because you choose to smoke, that doesn't give you the right to force others to be a part of your habit. Please could you at least stop Smoking in "No-Smoking" areas? My main areas of concern are, right outside the main entrance to Wellington Hospital & all through the Wellington Train Station. Also, If you could manage it, could you please refrain from blowing that disgusting smoke in my face as you walk down Lambton Quay and whilst standing in close proximity to others when lining up to get on a Bus?

I know that it's hard for you to understand where I am coming from, because you are so ignorant that you don't even think about the other people your decision affects. Really I do sympathise - you should probably see a Doctor about that.  But, until then could you at least consider not smoking around Children and Pregnant Women. It's rude, It's disgusting and I've had enough of having to deal with your foul habit.

Cheers,

Nicole

P.S Your clothes, hands & hair smell like an ashtray. I thought you might want to know

Please note that this letter is only aimed at Smokers who are in fact rude. If you keep your personal choices to yourself - then that's up to you. I respect that you have the right to make that decision, and appreciate that you spare my lungs.

  1. I empathise, although I haven't encountered any of these rude smokers lately. But I tell you what, when I see someone smoking at the maternity entrance to the hospital, I give them a piece of my mind. You should try it. Especially at the hospital. You're totally justified, and it will make you feel good I think.
