In my Codral induced consciousness, I was reminded of a scenario which took place a few weeks ago, which I had forgotten to share.
A few weeks ago, Erica & her Cherub, and myself ventured down to MK's house in Paekakariki. We had Lemon-pepper Fries & a Chicken, Bacon, Mango & Brie Pizza for lunch. So Good!
After lunch, a natter, a bit of a rest and a descent beach walk we found ourselves slumped on the couch back at MK's house.
Erica looked up at the vast CD & DVD collection on the wall. "Oh, I forgot you have Zumba!"
As soon as the words came out of her mouth I knew embarrassment and physical pain were due to follow.
"Let's put it on so I can see what it's like" Erica said excitedly.
Mk put the disc in to the DVD player. She gave me a knowing look.
Erica piped up again, "Well it's on - so we may as well give it a go!"
Before I knew it we were all on our feet, attempting to replicate the sense of co-ordination, we saw on the screen. And I say attempt intentionally. For fifteen whole minutes. We were in fits of laughter the entire time. When you see Zumba, it looks, funky, sexy & cool. When
I was hoping one of the other girls would pull pin on this Zumba madness.
Then MK said between heavy breathes "Dad, will be home soon..."
Erica interjected, "We better stop now, so he doesn't walk in and see this." As she said the word "this" she did a ghetto hand movement, meaning us and our daggy-ness.
Thank goodness. I am all for exercising but the Zumba madness might have to wait a while. Until I am either a little fitter or a Latin dance goddess. Either way - it may be some time.
I did a zumba workout from YouTube with similar results. The girl leading the class looked super hot. I can only assume I did not. My body wiggles a different way to hers...
ReplyDeleteNo idea. Just a random 10 minute workout on YouTube. She did the Shakira but wobble and the Beyonce boob bounce. It was hard out.
